Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelago, is located in Southeast Asia and Oceania. Comprising over 17,000 islands, including Sumatra, Java, and Bali, it spans approximately 1.9 million square kilometers (735,000 square miles) and is home to more than 275 million people. Jakarta, situated on Java, serves as the nation’s capital and economic center.

Indonesia is known for its rich biodiversity, hosting tropical rainforests, active volcanoes, and unique wildlife like orangutans and Komodo dragons. Culturally diverse, it is home to hundreds of ethnic groups and languages, with a strong influence from Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic, and Western traditions.
